Glebe Hill Village

Last week Fairbrother’s Southern Tasmania construction division representatives joined with developers Tipalea to officially launch the Glebe Hill Village project – a $35 million shopping centre near Howrah in Tasmania’s south.

Our project team was delighted to host Tipalea, local government representatives, media outlets, tenants and other stakeholders on site to celebrate the turning of the soil on the project.

Glebe Hill Village is a milestone project and is the first major neighbourhood shopping centre to be built in Greater Hobart in more than 10 years.

Southern Tasmania Construction Manager Paul Ransley spoke to the media about the project and the Tasmanian construction industry in general and its role as one of the main drivers of the State’s economy.

“This is an exciting project for the area. Shopping centres bring activity and jobs to the local community and this project will employ many people during and after construction,” Mr Ransley said.

“This is such an exciting development and we look forward to successfully delivering a quality centre,” Mr Ransley said.

Glebe Hill Village is schedule for completion in late 2022.
