As an SQE Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, and environmental measures across our projects in Tasmania and Victoria.


SQE Coordinator Jobs

As an SQE Coordinator, you will work closely with your colleagues to champion SQE behaviors, build strong relationships, and provide guidance and assistance to ensure compliance with SQE standards. Your hands-on approach and pro-active mindset will contribute to the successful administration of our SQE Total Integrated Management System and implementation of safety, quality, and environmental measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration and maintenance of the SQE Total Integrated Management System (TIMS).
  • Champion SQE behaviours and provide guidance and assistance to project teams.
  • Conduct WHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Identify and remove hazards, reduce risks, and prevent workplace incidents.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality requirements and implement quality control techniques.
  • Promote environmental sustainability and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate Fairbrother’s values and vision.
  • Facilitate Company inductions for all workers and provide advice on SWMS.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Services Team, Divisional Teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with Fairbrother policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with legislative requirements and best practices to ensure continuous compliance.

Position Criteria:

  • Experience in an SQE role within the commercial construction industry.
  • Knowledge of WHS and Workers Compensation Acts and associated codes.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and Internal Auditor certification.
  • Car Driver’s Licence and Work Safely at Heights certification.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels.
  • Proficiency in managing databases and records.
  • Ability to lead and influence others and be flexible in managing multiple needs.
