| About |
The renovation of the Old Hospital Building into a luxurious, modern hotel. |
The Charles Hotel consists of 99 hotel rooms including kitchenettes, wardrobes and vanities - all
fitted out with quality myrtle bed heads & bedside
cabinets - vinyl wrapped doors and drawers, and
Laminex Freestyle bench tops.
The Charles Reception and Foyer involved
installation of the bar's stone work, glass splash
backs, stainless steel, Blackheart and Golden
Sassafras veneer wall panels and glass light
pelmets. The Reception counter was painted in
a two pack finish. Fairbrother Joinery supplied
and Installed four different sets of sliding doors
all made out of Blackheart Sassafras veneer with
solid Golden Sassafras timber edges, a woven wall
ceiling, and wall feature panels.
This unusual project provided Fairbrother Joinery
with the opportunity to incorporate a broad
range of unique materials including woven wall
panels in reception, a combination of natural and
reconstituted stone, glass splash backs and wall
panelling. All timbers are Tasmanian.
The renovation and incorporation of the 'Old
Hospital Building' has transformed it into a high
class, architectural building with an architectural
design. |
