| About |
Construction of cold store facilities providing a total storage capacity of 46,100 cubic metres and temperature storage range of +4 degrees celsius to –24 degrees celsius. |
This project was constructed as a three stage development over a 21 month period. Fairbrother was chosen by the client to undertake the project on a design and construct basis.
The building was constructed using the traditional reinforced concrete footings and slab with external steel columns and steel roof beams. The rood and façade were clad in colourbond iron. The external walls and ceiling lining consisted of 200 mm thick colourbond insulation panels.
The two buildings have a total storage capacity of 46,100 cubic metres with an internal ceiling height of 12.5 metres. Racking is serviced by a computerised High Racker forklift with a stacking height of 11.8 metres. Products can be stored in a temperature range varying from +4 degrees celsius to –24 degrees celsius with different operating temperatures achievable in the varying zones.
