| About |
Construction of a corporate stand and two admission stands at Hobart's premier Tennis facility. |
The construction of a corporate stand at the northern end of the course was carried out in the
first stage of the project, while stage 2 was to build
two general admission stands – one to each side
of the court as well as fit out under the general and
corporate stands. A new amenities block with a
kitchen, ticket box and disabled access toilets was
also built.
The panels to the stands are unpainted, requiring
a high level of finish. There are nearly 500 precast
concrete components throughout the two stages
and there are feature panels to the Davies Ave
façade. The design is centred around wheelchair
access; therefore all three stands can be traversed
on the same level.
The view to the mouth of the Derwent is especially
uplifting, making the centre an incredible venue on
a summer's day in Hobart.
