Iconic Landmark Building

The construction of the seven-storey Hunter Street development contributes another landmark building to the iconic Hobart waterfront.
This extensive development consists of car parking on two levels, a total of twenty-eight serviced apartments on another two levels, and three floors of residential apartments comprising a combination of two and three bedroom apartments, four sub-penthouses and three luxury penthouse suites.
The ground floor houses the reception area for the serviced apartments, a conference facility and separate tenancies including a cafe, a restaurant and a real estate office. Two lifts can be found in the central core - one servicing five floors and the other reserved for residents on the exclusive sixth.

Mixing old with new

The external treatment of the building consists of white concrete pre-cast panels and a steel facade supplemented with sunshades, balustrades and access ways. A sandstone finish has been incorporated into the facades on both Hunter Street and Evans Street.
Design was undertaken in consultation with Hobart City Council, particular emphasis being placed on the requirements to respectfully mix ‘old with new’ in a rapidly developing area consisting of heritage listed and modern architectural buildings.
