saving water and energy

Centrally located in the heart of Hobart this modern multi-storey building incorporates a range of energy and water saving measures. The five storey facility incorporates open plan office space for the client in addition to commercial lease areas.
Engaged through an open tender process by the client's architect, Fairbrother was responsible for the timely management of the full project scope which encompassed the demolition of a pre-existing structure, construction of the pre-stressed concrete slabs, installation of pre-cast panels and the subsequent fit-out of the entire facility. The joinery package was shared by two key subcontractors including Fairbrother Joinery and was installed to fine tolerances to achieve a high quality finish.

spacious and well lit

The pre-cast atrium stairs are a prominent feature accessed via large double sliding doors from the main street. Techlam tiles provide an abstract representation of a former RACT building and provide a visually striking backdrop to the commanding staircase. A large customer service area has been created in spacious and well lit atrium over two levels and is decorated with a specially commissioned artwork detailing the client's evolution as an iconic Tasmanian business.
