global corporate image

The client was seeking a showroom complex that would bring together several dealerships in Subaru, Volvo, Porsche and Mercedes Benz on one large site in premises that would provide a suitable 'stage' and reflect the global corporate image of each of these prestige vehicles. A separate showroom building was developed specifically for the Mercedes dealership. The project involved the staged demolition of an existing office and business premises. A large bulk excavation was required to provide lower level car parking facilities. Another car park was developed above to match existing street level car parking in the vicinity.

bright and airy space

The new double storey buildings have a structural steel frame and metal roof, with full height glazing to the front and sides providing a bright and airy space. The external walls consist of concrete panels, Alucobond panels (silver aluminium) and metal profiled cladding. Offices and staff amenities are located on the ground floor while a Tasmanian Oak timber and stainless steel staircase leads to mezzanine levels in both buildings. Fairbrother Joinery Division provided all the joinery for the project including timber stair treads, kitchen units, benches and storage cupboards, toilet partitions and bathroom vanity units as well as the feature acoustic ceiling in the Mercedes showroom.
