Dan Murphy's

Loorungah Developments

Very high quality

Situated in a prominent shopping complex in Echuca, this project posed the challenge of dealing with busy streets consisting of large volumes of both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Previously two separate tenancies, the project scope included the removal of a dividing wall and several key structural columns.

Major services works, particularly mechanical and electrical, formed a large part of the on site activities.  Design and installation milestones were crucial given the limited timeframe for construction and fit out of the new facility.  New coolrooms, fire panels, and airconditioning systems made up the mechanical works, while exposed overhead ductwork required installation to be of a very high quality.

Precisely delivered

The remainder of the internal works entailed the fitout of new offices, refurbishment of toilet facilities, polished concrete floors and extensive plaster bulkhead and painting works - all precisely delivered according to the Dan Murphy’s brief.

Externally, façade parapets were altered to the new design using a combination of compressed fibre cement cladding and corrugated iron.  A new Dan Murphy’s entry portal frames the entrance to the new store.

Finally, a large portion of the existing carpark was renewed with heavy duty concrete pavement to cater for large delivery trucks.
