Rehabilitation Policy

The Fairbrother Group is committed to preventing injury and illness at the workplace by providing a safe and healthy working environment.

In the event of an injury or illness being sustained, the Fairbrother Group believes that providing a safe early return to meaningful and productive work is in the best interests of all our people.

We will achieve this by:

Commencing the occupational rehabilitation process as quickly as possible after a work related injury or illness occurs. Rehabilitation programs and plans will be developed in consultation with all relevant parties, including the injured or ill worker and their choice of treating medical practitioner, the employee’s supervisor and rehabilitation provider.
Providing support throughout the rehabilitation process to minimise effects of the injury or illness and ensure an early return to work.
Providing a written return to work plan that is practical and agreed to by all parties.
Ensuring that an injured employee’s participation in a rehabilitation program does not disadvantage other employees in the workplace.
Where possible, providing suitable and meaningful alternative work duties, following adequate training, that are within the capacity of the injured worker, and
Following up on the success of the rehabilitation program.

We will handle any occupational rehabilitation process with compassion and will observe and protect the rights and best interests of the injured employee at all times.
