Facility Management Division

Fairbrother Facility Management offers a broad range of client-centric services encompassing statutory, preventative and responsive maintenance, lifecycle management and replacement. Operating from offices in Devonport, Launceston and Hobart, our agile and adaptable business unit is highly responsive to our clients' needs.

Our flexible delivery model and highly skilled resources allow us to offer a range of solutions to building owners and occupiers including the placement of on-site/in-house facility managers. Our experience to date includes a number of major maintenance contracts, most notably the University of Tasmania's Medical Sciences facility and the lifecycle maintenance of Risdon Prison. In addition, we are capable of delivering minor capital works projects on an as-needs basis or in response to insurable damage claims.

Current projects
	Department of Justice (August 2005 - 2021) 15-year Comprehensive maintenance contract for the Risdon Men's and Women's Prisons and Secure Mental Health Unit Facility. Maintenance Contract value approx. $1.4 million per annum. Contract works include preventative and responsive maintenance, and programmed replacement works for majority of new building fabric and services.
	University of Tasmania – Medical Science / Menzies Research Institute Co – Location (Nov 2009 – 2013) Fairbrother Facility Management have been awarded a 4 Year comprehensive maintenance contract for the new Medical Science / Menzies Research Institute building – Hobart's newest iconic building. Contract works include preventative and responsive maintenance, and programmed replacement works for majority of new building fabric and services.
	Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Corrective and minor works maintenance across DHHS’ hospital and health care sites, including nursing homes.
	Aurora Energy The FM Team provides maintenance services to Aurora Energy building assets across Tasmania, from Cambridge, to Scottsdale, to Smithton. In addition to reactive maintenance, minor work projects are also managed across the state.
	Hydro Tasmania Fairbrother Facility Management provides building services maintenance for Hydro Tasmania's facilities across Tasmania, including regional and remote sites. Work is carried out on both industrial facilities as well as administrative and support buildings.
	United Group Services Provision of comprehensive maintenance services to multiple facilities, including Financial, Government and varied retail brands across Tasmania.
	Insurance Provision of 24 Hour, 7 Days a week service on behalf of a number of Insurance Companies and Assessors throughout Tasmania.
	National Retail Chains Provision of reactive maintenance services statewide, at a number of National Retail Brands, including Supermarkets, Variety, Liquor and Petrol.
	recent projects
	Hobart City Council – TASTE Festival Site Maintenance services for the Hobart City Council's annual TASTE Festival at Sullivans Cove, Hobart.
	Department of Education Comprehensive roof maintenance and programmed upgrade contract to public school buildings statewide. Contract value approx. $1 million per annum. Contract works include preventative and responsive maintenance, routine cleaning, and programmed replacement works as well as provision of updated asset register and condition assessment analysis.
	Housing Tasmania – Property Upgrades (2009) Development and Delivery of upgrades to 40 Housing Tasmania Properties, during a 12 week period, including, Project management, Building Fabric, Services and Landscaping,
